Regional Partnerships Initiative Grant Program

Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) and Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) offer grant funding for the Colorado Outdoor Regional Partnerships Initiative (RPI) to support regionally driven collaboratives working to ensure that Colorado’s land, water, and wildlife thrive while also providing equitable access to quality outdoor recreation experiences. Funding supports Regional Partnerships in convening broad outdoor interests to develop regionally rooted visions and action plans that advance landscape priorities in alignment with Colorado’s Outdoors Strategy (COS or the Strategy), a collaborative vision for conservation, climate resilience, and sustainable recreation.

By participating in the Regional Partnerships Initiative, coalitions representing regions across Colorado are provided tools, resources, best practices, and connections to a statewide network of partnerships, and recreation and conservation leaders. Funding applications are reviewed by CPW, GOCO, and a Colorado Outdoor Partnership Scoring Committee of stakeholders representing broad outdoor interests including local government, agriculture, hunting and angling, conservation, and outdoor recreation. For more details on the application process and scoring criteria, see the RPI webpage.

Public Comment Opportunity

The public is invited to review and comment on RPI grant applications from July 27th to August 21st (closes 8/21 at noon).* Comments will be shared with applicants and grant scoring committee members to be considered during the review process.
