CPW is seeking input from hunters on proposed changes to some big game regulations in Northwest Colorado following the approval of the 2025-2029 Big Game Season Structure.
Proposed changes include:
Creating additional deer season and antlerless hunting opportunities in North Park
Creation of Archery PLO hunts in some Northwest GMUs
Changes to antlerless elk hunting licenses in GMUs below and at objectives
The input collected from this survey will help CPW staff determine if the changes will continue to be considered and presented to the Parks and Wildlife Commission (PWC). The PWC is scheduled to first consider the proposed changes as an informational item at the November 14-15, 2024 PWC meeting . Final regulation changes are tentatively scheduled to be considered for approval by the PWC at the January 8-9, 2025 meeting. To share comments with the PWC, members of the public should follow the guidance in the Submit Public Comments section of the PWC's webpage.
